A Last Minute Goal

Today, November 3, 2010, two great teams faced off in a shocking match. This match is part of the famous Champions League, the most important and prestigious European football league in the world. Every great team, from every corner of the continent, dreams of stepping into the pitch for a shot at the title. Today, AC Milan faced off a successful Real Madrid. Both having great records in this league, it was bound to be a fight. The game started off with a goal from Real Madrid, towards the end of the first half. It was scored by Argentine striker Higuain. The second half was a complete different ballgame, as Milan scored two back to back goals with its substitute Filippo Inzaghi. This veteran, now fairly old, was not expected to be as useful as he proved to be. However, the needed win was denied by a last minute goal by Real Madrid. Now, Milan hopes to continue competing by coming in 2nd in their group, behind a powerful Real Madrid.

  1. I watched the Real Madrid vs AC Milan game yesterday and was very nervous/aggravated. As a Madrid fan, I will try not to be biased(won't happen) both teams played some fantastic football, but I believe Madrid completely controlled this game against their opponents. In the end a fatal mistake by Pepe and Casillas put them in a tie, and then an offside goal was counted, putting Madrid down 2-1. What aggravated me, was the GREAT ACTING by AC Milan, please, you are world stars, do you really need to lay down on the pitch for 5 minutes pretending your leg hurts? After Madrid scored in extra time, what put a smile on my face wasn't that they had tied the game, or that Madrid still stayed undefeated, or Mou's celebration, no. It was Gattuso's face of discontempt, in his face you could see all the emotions and things he was thinking, and after all the great acting he did, they still failed to beat RMA.
